Versatile

performed all over the world. She writes shows for her production
company, "Company 20 de la Luna." Marina grew up in France

and Horn's story telling captured my heart," says Marina who

" Additionally, instrumentalists like sax or trumpet players
are a big influence for me: Charlie Parker, Sonny Stitt, Cannonball
Aderley, Stan Getz, and Miles Davis. Take Chet baker. His phrasing
and solo construction is ala Mozart or Bach," says Marina.
Well-versed
in multiple genres and in both English and French languages, Marina's
repertoire ranges from Bebop to jazz standards from the American
Song Book, on to classical favorites by Debussy, Chopin and contemporary
composers like
the New York-based Frank
Proto. He
wrote and dedicated a Piano Concerto for Marina. It premiered at
Meadowlark festival, directed by Hans Sturm, with the Sybarite5
ensemble from NYC and the Lincoln Symphony soloists, conducted by
