Rebirth
Of The Historical Complex Studio C

One of the few legacy recording studios standing in West LA is Revival
LA. Building on its colorful history of the legendary Complex studios,
Revival LA is where countless records and hits were made. If only
the walls could talk! Here you cant help but feel inspired
working in the same space where Earth Wind & Fire once called
home and created so many of their hits. The studio also hosted some
of the beloved artists of our times: Aerosmith, Barbara Streisand,
Beach Boys, Black Crows, Chaka Kahn, Cher, Dr Dre, Elton John, Fiona
Apple, Guns N' Roses, Jackson Brown, Jewel, Leonard Cohen, Linda
Ronstadt, Marcus Miller, Neil Young, NIN, Prince, Red Hot Chili
Peppers, Sex pistols, Sheila E, Whitney Houston and Tom Petty, to
name a few.

Back in 1978,
Earth Wind & Fire (EW&F) were on top of the world. In an
unprecedented deal with Columbia/CBS, Maurice White (leader and
visionary behind EW&F) set
up his ARC label headquarters here, alongside state of the art recording
rooms and rehearsal spaces, acoustically treated and designed to
pin drop specifications by the legendary audio engineer
George Massenburg. Massenberg, EW&Fs principal engineer,
established The Complex as his home base to build his prototype
parametric EQs and compressors. His world famous GML consoles
were designed and built here, with one still housed in Studio B.

The original
parquet tiles (the look of Abbey Road) and the classic 70s slanted
wood panels along the walls are part of what make musicians feel
at home.
