award-winning musician, Chen taught himself music composition with
computers at the age of 17. Originally from Beijing China, Chen
graduated in 2010 from the prestigious Music Department of the University
of Huddersfield in England. His studies include music composition,
scoring for film/TV/Multimedia, vocal training, conducting and opera
performance. Tony skillfully combines East-West cultural backgrounds
makking his music transcend cultures and time.
Tony specializes in New Age, Contemporary Orchestral, Asian music
as well as scoring for visual media. "I specially enjoy the
animation world," says Chen. His music has been likened to
Yanni, Josh Groban, Enya, and Kitaro with pop and classical sensibilities.
Tony enjoys promoting his Chinese culture to Western audiences.
he has composed many music pieces in traditional Chinese style adding
his modern sensibilities. His composition “Taste Asia –
Delicious Chinese Cuisine” that won in the best "world
music categoary" at the 2014 Hollywood Music in Media Awards™
was written for “Taste Asia” Event - live International
Chinese chefs' battle presented by New Tang Dynasty Television &
Epoch Times held at Times Square, New York in June 2014. In October 2013,
Tony released his new album At Ease which contains some of
the classic pieces that Tony has composed between 2009 - 2013 including
5 critically acclaimed pieces that won International nomination
and awards. The new album is a reflection of Tony’s life experiences
over the past four years he describes as “Down to earth, peaceful…and
at ease.” Tony has 10+ year experiences of professional voice-over production of commercials, corporate videos, movie dubbings and documentaries "I
surrender to a state of purity, beauty and righteousness in my compositions,"
