Rhonda Smith's uncanny emotive communication ability through her instrument has made her a highly sought after musician and artist. A gifted vocalist and singer/songwriter, Rhonda is one of music’s greatest treasures today. As an innovative musician and visionary, she has sparked several genres of music (jazz/funk/rock) and she has electrified the stage with acts to include Jeff Beck and Prince. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia...A chance meeting with Sheila E. at a music convention in Germany opened the doors to Rhonda Smith's lengthy tenure with his Royal Badness, Prince. She has also performed with Chaka Khan, Beyonce, T. I., Erykah Badu, Lee Ritenour, Patti Labelle, Rachel Farrell, and George Clinton. Ms Smith has been featured in numerous music videos, and has appeared on the covers of Bass Player and Bassics magazines including stints with The Martin Short Show and The Wayne Brady Show. She has 3 Platinum Plaques on her wall and in 2004 played for 1.4 million attendees over 88 sold-out dates on Prince's wildly successful Musicology Tour. Rhonda's uncanny ability to communicate her every emotion through her music has made her a highly sought after musician and artist.
