History: Best known as a top urban mixer, Logus
has diverse musical talent and has successfully persued his interest
as rock producer and musician. This was evident at Net Aid as band
leader for P Diddy rock segment, playing guitar with Jimmy Page
on 'Come With Me,' and Slash on 'Benjamins'. He has since continued
to bridge the gap between rock and hip hop by working with Limp
Bizkit, mixing and playing guitar on 'My Way or the Highway"
remix, and mixing/playing acoustic guitar on Beyonce's suprise smash
single 'Summer Time'. Logus recently took a short break from hip
hop to Produce/Engineer the debut album 'From One' for rock band
RA on Universal Records.
Paul
Logus began his career engineering for legendary R&B producer/artist
Rodger Troutman in the mid 80's. The first two projects they did
together were Zapp IV, and Shirley Murdock. 'Computer Love' and
'As We Lay' became huge hits.
Logus
moved to NY and quickly became a highly in demand engineer at The
Hit Factory working with legendary producers Phil Ramone, Bob Clearmountain,
Jelly Bean, and Kenny Laguna. Working on a variety of acts, he was
tapped by Mark Ross to re-mix Pantera's first 3 singles . 'Cowboys
from Hell', 'Psycho Holiday', and 'Cemetary Gates' put the band
on the map. Soon after this success, Logus was teamed up with Producer
Al B. Sure as a new urban music scene was emerging with Uptown Records.
Their first project together, Jodeci, became a smash hit. It brought
#1 stats on album and single charts. Jodeci's 'Come And Talk To
me' remix was an even bigger hit than the singles before it. The
chart success marked the beginning of a new relationship with Logus
and Sean Combs now known as P. Diddy.
