Film Composer I Arranger I Recording Artist
Multi-award
winning composer and arranger Edy Lan has worked internationally
in diverse areas of music to include film, concert, advertising,
and arrangements for pop and rock albums.
Lan is a classically trained composer who has received numerous
awards to include Best Orchestral Music composition at the prestigious
International Antonin Dvorak Competitions in Prague, 2011 and 2012.

His music scores have appeared on feature films to include: The
Bohemians, a film currently in post-production with Placido Domingo
(adaptation of Puccini's La Boheme in contemporary New York); Isaac
Ezban's film, THE INCIDENT (won over 15 awards worldwide).
Edy was nominated in the "Hollywood Music In Media Awards"
in Los Angeles for his work on the The Incident. His work also appears
in CANON directed by Mauricio Walerstein, "The Güeros's"
BEHIND THE POWER and "The Similars (Los Parecidos), the latest
Isaac Ezbán film which has won many awards in fest circles
to include at the SITGES fest.
Mr Lan's album credits include arrangement work for Antonio
Orozco's (Temblando,
Volver
a empezar, Llegará),
double platinum album "DOS ORILLAS" and for Argentinian
band TAN
BIONICA's album "HOLA
MUNDO" with music producer, engineer and 14x Grammy winner
Rafa
Sardina. Lan is credited for orchestrating six tracks on the
album "The magic of life" by Alberto
de la Rocha, mixed by Sardina.
Lan's work is
characterized by his command of the orchestra and his versatility
of style.
"Each project requires a particular and individual approach.
My emphasis is always in storytelling. This approach has led me
to embrace the traditional values of scoring. On occasion, music
becomes the character," says Lan who is accustomed to working
under pressure and with demanding film/TV deadlines. Edy also has
considerable experience in music supervision.
"My priority
is always to create an emotional impact and help convey the story
and bring the message from directors, producers and the artist to
global audiences."
