History: Affectionately known to many as
Kirkee B/ Curt Bisquera has become one of the most sought after
drummers in recording business. What may not be common knowledge,
however, is that Curt also writes music. He co-wrote music for the
Denise Richards show "It's Complicated" for the E! Channel.
Bisquera
is also versed in reading music, programming and drum editing (Pro
Tools or Logic). He's happy to accommodate all types of sessions.
"Sometimes I’ll get called and they’ll say, You know,
we want to edit this part of the verse and make it shorter and make
the third chorus of the song longer. I can do that," says Curt
who has contributed drums and programing for: Dido, Cee-Lo,
Colbie Caillatt with top hit-songwriter/producer Rick Nowels.
"Keep an
open mind and an open heart, and don’t let anyone or anything
get in your way. I get a lot of kids writing me: How should I do
this? And I’m like, you’re thinking too much. Just play
drums," says the drummer. Music legend Jeff Porcaro
recognized Curt's ability early on and began recommending him for
session work. His feel and approach to songs can be heard on numerous
hit singles and many television specials for over 15 years.
