History: Michael is a Grammy Award winning engineer for his work recording and mixing Dianne Reeve's A Little Moonlight . ( Best Jazz Vocal Album 2003) . Michael is also the mixer/engineer of Five Grammy Award winning and two Grammy nominated albums, as well as 15 Platinum and 19 Gold and 8 Multi-platium records. Simply put, most of us have heard the familiar sounds he's captured. Take the Chaka Kahn LP "I Feel For You" or Whitney Houston's first LP "Whitney Houston".

He began his career at New York's legendary Atlantic Studios (Atlantic Records Recording Studios) as an assistant engineer. Here he honed his craft working with a range of artists, from The Rolling Stones, Average White Band, George Carlin, James Taylor and Aretha Franklin to Charles Mingus. He soon progressed to engineering and mixing records on his own.

.Michael is the engineer who worked alongside legendary Producer, Arif Mardin on virtually all of Arif's projects for the last 30 years. Michael was a Producer on Bette Midler's album, Bathhouse Betty and Associate Producer On Arif Mardin's, All My Friends Are Here album due 2010.

As a recording engineer, Michael has worked in a wide variety of musical genres. These include Pop, Rock, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Broadway, Original Film Soundtracks and Film and Television Scores, making him at home recording either a 60-piece orchestra or a lone blues guitar. He has worked with a roster of artists as diverse as Whitney Houston, The Bee Gees, Bette Midler, David Bowie, Modern Jazz Quartet, Smashing Pumpkins, Los Lonely Boys, Jewel, Queen Latifah ,Eric Clapton , Matisyahu, and The Radio City Rockettes, to name a few.

Michael has also been known to play an occasional guitar part on records that he has worked on (Jewel, Bette, Roberta Flack, Chaka Kahn).
