Producer / Engineer / Mixer

History: Matt Chiaravalle could
be one of New York's best kept secrets, steadily earning praise and credits
working with everyone from legends to future stars. Matt has recorded and
worked with Warren Zevon, Kittie, Jeffrey Gaines, the Spooks, Anton Fig, Joe
Bonamassa & Christopher Walken. He earned his solid background first producing,
mixing and engineering two albums for Ng Records - The Forty Fives' Get It
Together and The Lower East Side Stitches' The Lower East Side.
As a musician, Matt played
lead guitar for the legendary New York City rock band The Phoids. Signing
with Ng Records in November of 1994, the group recorded their full-length
debut just one month later. The album, mushyheadedgoogoomouth, was released
in April 1995, as was a video for the track "Lil' Suzy." After touring
behind the debut wrapped up, the Phoids wrote and recorded their second album,
Marianne Doesn't Know Yet. For their third album, the band enlisted producer
Nico Bolas (Keith Richards, Neil Young, etc.), and recorded in a rural Massachusetts
studio. The resulting self-titled album (which was far more experimental than
the other two) was released in April 1998, and proved to be their best yet.
Recently Matt engineered eight tracks on Warren Zevon's My Ride is Here, mixing and engineering for both Kittie and the Spooks, mixing three tracks on the Josh Joplin Group's Useful Music and engineering and editing for Spacehog.
